Stretching and Mobility Classes

Our classes are designed to help you improve your movement ability. They will gently challenge your body through its range of motion working on mobility, flexibility, stability and muscle activation exercises, helping you build strength, balance and freedom of movement whilst helping counteract the wear and tear of daily life. Classes incorporate mobility flows, stretching, foam rolling(Self Myofascial Release), trigger point releases and relaxation techniques helping to reduce your risk of injury and relieve general muscle soreness and joint stiffness.

Classes comprise of the following main elements:

Mobility - Flow steadily through dynamic stretches and movements that prepare the body for more complex movement, warm up for exercise or help create more ROM.

Foam Rolling (Self Myofascial Release) - Straighten, lengthen and rehydrate the fascia whilst releasing adhesion and creating slide and glide between tissue layers leading to increased mobility and flexibility and releasing trigger points.

Stretching - We use a number of techniques to improve the Range of Movement (ROM) of the fascia and muscles.

Relaxation -  The fundamental part of rejuvenation and regeneration practices. Stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system with breathwork and relaxation techniques.

Classes are suitable for participants of all levels and are relaxed and welcoming of everyone.

 

Our goal is for you to feel more confident and have enhanced awareness in your movement ability.

 

Classes are held in the Studio Room at Healthglo in Burnie.

Private classes for your sporting club or organisation can also be arranged upon request.

I have been doing Stretching and Mobility classes with Marty since 2018. Marty is an excellent teacher, the class content is organised, everything is clear and cues are great.

I have learnt so much about my own body through the classes. I am more aware now of how i move during work and exercise and have noticed improvement in my range of motion.
